  • 8 ounces deli ham, thinly sliced (Black Forest or honey-glazed recommended)
  • 8 ounces shredded cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or a combination)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and press perforations to seal into a single sheet.
  3. Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the dough surface.
  4. Layer half of the ham slices evenly over the dough, then half of the shredded cheese. Repeat with remaining ham and cheese.
  5. Slice the dough into strips about 1 to 1.5 inches wide using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  6. Twist each strip gently a couple of times and arrange the twists in a circular pattern inside a greased 8 or 9-inch springform or cake pan, pinching ends to seal.
  7. Brush the top of the ring generously with melted butter.
  8. Sprinkle garlic powder evenly over the ring; add salt and pepper if desired.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until croissants are puffed, golden, and cheese is bubbly and melted.
  10. Let the ring rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  11. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm, encouraging pull-apart bites.

Press crescent dough perforations well to prevent filling leaks. Brush butter generously for a golden crust.
