A quick and easy 5-ingredient creamy buffalo chicken dip that’s perfect for game day or casual get-togethers, delivering a smooth, spicy, and cheesy flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (about 300g), rotisserie chicken recommended
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (120ml) buffalo hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot recommended)
  • ½ cup (120ml) ranch dressing (can substitute blue cheese dressing)
  • 1 cup (115g) shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the buffalo hot sauce and ranch dressing to the cream cheese and mix until fully combined and vibrant orange-red in color.
  4. Gently fold in the shredded cooked chicken and shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring the chicken is evenly coated without over-mixing.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) oven-safe baking dish or skillet.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes until the dip is hot, bubbly, and the cheese on top is melted and slightly golden.
  7. Optional: Broil for 2-3 minutes for a golden crust, watching closely to avoid burning.
  8. Remove from oven, garnish with chopped green onions or crumbled blue cheese if desired, and serve warm with celery sticks, tortilla chips, or preferred dippers.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Use Frank’s RedHot for authentic flavor. For a quicker option, microwave for 3-4 minutes, stirring halfway through, but baking is recommended for the best bubbly top. Can be made ahead and refrigerated, then baked before serving. Substitute ingredients for dairy-free or low-carb versions as desired.
