A quick and easy dessert combining rich dark chocolate, tangy dried cranberries, and flaky sea salt for a delicious treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces high-quality dark chocolate (60-70% cocoa)
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon butter (optional)
  • Optional add-ins: chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or orange zest

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Break the dark chocolate into small pieces and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted. Alternatively, use a double boiler to melt the chocolate gently.
  3. If using, stir in 1 teaspoon of butter to give the chocolate a glossy finish.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and use a spatula to spread it into an even layer, about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Sprinkle the dried cranberries evenly over the chocolate while it’s still warm. Press them lightly so they adhere.
  6. Add a generous pinch of flaky sea salt, distributing it evenly.
  7. If using optional add-ins like nuts, coconut, or other toppings, sprinkle them over the chocolate now.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes, or until the chocolate has completely hardened.
  9. Remove the bark from the refrigerator and gently peel off the parchment paper. Break it into bite-sized pieces or cut into squares with a sharp knife.
  10. Transfer the bark to an airtight container and store in a cool place or serve immediately.

Notes

Choose high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. Avoid overheating the chocolate to prevent graininess. Customize with your favorite toppings like nuts, coconut, or crushed candy canes.
