A vibrant and refreshing mango margarita with a spicy Tajin chili-salt rim, perfect for parties and easy to prepare in a pitcher.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) Tequila Blanco (100% agave preferred)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Mango Nectar (unsweetened or lightly sweetened)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) Fresh Lime Juice (about 45 limes)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) Triple Sec (Orange Liqueur, e.g., Cointreau)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Agave Syrup
  • ½ cup (120 ml) Cold Water or Club Soda (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Tajin Seasoning (for the rim)
  • 1 tablespoon Coarse Sea Salt (mixed with Tajin for the rim)
  • Ice Cubes (for blending and serving)
  • Lime Wedges (for garnish and rim wetting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass Rims: Mix Tajin seasoning and sea salt on a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass to moisten, then dip the rim into the seasoning mix. Set aside to dry slightly.
  2. Juice the Limes: Using a citrus juicer, squeeze about ½ cup (120 ml) fresh lime juice. Strain to remove seeds and pulp.
  3. Mix the Margarita: In a large pitcher, combine tequila blanco, mango nectar, lime juice, triple sec, and agave syrup. Stir well to blend flavors. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  4. Add Water or Club Soda: Stir in cold water or club soda if a lighter drink is preferred (optional).
  5. Chill & Serve: Add plenty of ice cubes to the pitcher and stir gently. Pour into prepared glasses, garnish each with a lime wedge, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Adjust agave syrup to control sweetness. If rim isn’t sticking, dip glass rim twice in lime juice. Add ice just before serving to avoid dilution. Can substitute frozen mango blended with water for mango nectar. For less heat, reduce Tajin or mix half with plain salt.
