Juicy, seasoned mini beef sliders served with a customizable three toppings bar, perfect for parties and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 mini slider buns (soft potato buns recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for toasting buns)
  • Sliced cheddar cheese (sharp or mild)
  • Leafy lettuce
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Dill pickle chips
  • Caramelized onions (optional)
  • Ketchup, mustard, mayo, or your favorite sauces (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form 12 small patties about 2 inches in diameter and Β½ inch thick.
  2. Heat a non-stick or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil. Cook patties about 3 minutes per side for medium doneness. Add a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute to melt.
  3. Split the mini slider buns and place cut side up on a baking sheet. Brush with melted butter or olive oil and toast in a 350Β°F (175Β°C) oven for 5 minutes until golden and slightly crisp.
  4. For caramelized onions (optional), slice 2 medium onions thinly. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a small pan over low heat, add onions with a pinch of salt, and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until golden and sweet, about 20 minutes.
  5. Arrange sliced cheddar, lettuce, tomato slices, pickle chips, caramelized onions, and sauces in bowls for a toppings bar.
  6. Assemble sliders by placing a patty on each bottom bun, letting guests add toppings, then topping with the bun. Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overmix the beef to avoid tough sliders. Use cast iron skillet for best sear. Resist pressing patties while cooking to keep juices. Caramelize onions low and slow for best flavor. Prep patties and onions ahead if desired. Toast buns just before serving for best texture.
