Tender, juicy chicken breasts smothered in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for a quick and delicious weeknight dinner or to impress guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium-sized boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until the butter melts and starts to bubble.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the hot skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, and stir in the minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Place the chicken breasts back into the skillet, spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top, and cook for another 2 minutes to ensure the chicken absorbs the flavors.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

For best results, use fresh garlic and avoid overcrowding the pan. Adjust seasoning to taste and let the chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain its juices.
