These Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Bites combine flaky puff pastry, creamy Brie, and tangy cranberry sauce for a festive and irresistible holiday appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 wheel or block of Brie cheese, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • Chopped walnuts (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease your muffin tin.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a floured surface to smooth out any creases.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pastry cutter, cut the pastry into 2.5-inch squares. You should get about 24 squares from two sheets.
  4. Press each square into the muffin tin, gently molding it to fit the cups.
  5. Place a small piece of Brie in the center of each pastry cup.
  6. Top the Brie with a dollop (about 1 teaspoon) of cranberry sauce.
  7. If using, sprinkle a few chopped walnuts on top for added crunch.
  8. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with beaten egg to help them turn golden and flaky.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and garnish with a small sprig of fresh rosemary before serving.

Notes

[‘You can assemble the bites a few hours before baking—just cover them with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to bake.’, ‘A small dollop of cranberry sauce is all you need to avoid messiness.’, ‘Let the Brie sit out for 10-15 minutes before cutting to make it easier to work with.’, ‘Keep an eye on the bites during the last few minutes of baking to prevent burning.’, ‘Lightly grease the muffin tin to prevent sticking.’]
