A quick and comforting dinner recipe featuring tender beef, creamy Parmesan sauce, and chewy bowtie pasta. Perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 pound ground beef (lean preferred)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Push the beef to one side of the skillet. Add butter to the empty side and let it melt. Toss in the minced garlic and sautΓ© until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine with the beef and garlic mixture. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese, a handful at a time, until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well-coated in the sauce. Let it heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture. Cook pasta al dente to avoid mushiness. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce gets too thick.
