Transform fresh strawberries into adorable pumpkin-themed treats with candy melts for a festive fall dessert that’s quick, easy, and fun to make.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Orange candy melts
  • Green candy melts
  • Coconut oil
  • Sprinkles or mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • Wax paper

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries: Gently rinse your strawberries under cold water, then pat them completely dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  2. Melt the orange candy melts: Place the orange candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth. Add a teaspoon of coconut oil and mix well to thin the consistency.
  3. Dip the strawberries: Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted candy, ensuring it is fully coated. Tap gently on the edge of the bowl to remove any excess coating, then place the strawberry on wax paper to set.
  4. Melt the green candy melts: In another bowl, melt the green candy melts using the same method. Transfer the melted candy into a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a small hole cut in the corner.
  5. Add the stems and leaves: Pipe a small green stem on the top of each strawberry. Add leaf details if desired.
  6. Let them set: Allow the dipped and decorated strawberries to set completely on the wax paper. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes at room temperature or 5-10 minutes in the fridge.

Notes

[‘Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to avoid issues with the candy coating.’, ‘Add coconut oil gradually to achieve the desired consistency for the candy melts.’, ‘Practice piping stems and leaves on parchment paper before decorating the strawberries.’]
