Instructions

  1. Start by cleaning the mushrooms. Gently wipe them with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Avoid rinsing them under running water as they can absorb moisture and become soggy.
  2. Trim the stems if they’re long, but leave a bit for extra flavor and texture.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and butter, letting them melt together. The oil prevents the butter from burning while still giving you that rich flavor.
  4. Once the butter is melted and slightly bubbly, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds, or until the garlic becomes fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn—it should turn golden, not brown.
  5. Add the mushrooms to the pan in a single layer. Stir gently to coat them in the garlic butter. Cook for about 5 minutes without stirring too much; you want them to develop a nice golden crust.
