Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings (separated into drumettes and flats)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or low-sodium soy sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced thinly

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  2. Pat chicken wings completely dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  3. In a large bowl, toss dried wings with vegetable oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding).
  5. Air fry for 12 minutes, then flip wings and cook for another 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. While wings cook, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Simmer the glaze for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly, then remove from heat and stir in sesame oil.
  8. Transfer cooked wings to a large mixing bowl and pour the warm glaze over them.
  9. Toss vigorously to coat wings evenly in the sauce.
  10. Serve immediately, topped with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
