A quick and easy 20-minute recipe for crispy baked buffalo chicken sliders using Hawaiian rolls, buffalo sauce, and a garlic butter topping. Perfect for game day or busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Classic buffalo sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package (12-16 count) sweet Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or pepper jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (optional, for drizzling)
  • Celery and blue cheese (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pound chicken breasts to 1/2-inch thickness and chop into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Toss chicken cubes in buffalo sauce until fully coated.
  3. Slice the package of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create a bottom and top layer, keeping them connected.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix softened cream cheese with half of the shredded cheese. Fold this mixture into the buffalo chicken.
  5. Place the bottom layer of rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the rolls.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top of the chicken.
  7. Mix melted butter with minced garlic. Brush this mixture generously over the top layer of rolls.
  8. Place the top layer of rolls on the chicken mixture and press down gently.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and tops are golden brown.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes to allow cheese to set. Drizzle with ranch dressing if desired and separate into individual sliders.

Notes

Pound chicken to even thickness for uniform cooking. Ensure cream cheese is fully softened for easy mixing. Do not skip the garlic butter brush for crispy edges. Let sliders rest for 5 minutes before serving to prevent burning and help them hold together.
