A simple, no-bake snack made with just a few pantry staples. These protein bites provide quick energy and satisfy sweet cravings without the fuss of baking or complex ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (250g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup (90g) quick oats or rolled oats
  • ½ cup (approx. 50g) protein powder (vanilla or chocolate)
  • 23 tablespoons (30-45ml) honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Instructions

  1. If using rolled oats, pulse them in a food processor or blender for 10-15 times until they resemble coarse sand or flour.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the processed oats (or regular oats) and protein powder. Whisk together to distribute evenly.
  3. Add the creamy peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Stir the wet ingredients together until smooth before gradually adding the dry mixture.
  4. Mix firmly until the mixture resembles damp sand and holds together when squeezed. Adjust with more honey if too dry or more protein powder/oats if too sticky.
  5. If the mixture is too sticky to handle, cover the bowl and freeze for 10 minutes to firm up the peanut butter.
  6. Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Refrigerate the bites for at least 20 minutes to allow them to firm up completely.
  8. Transfer to an airtight container for storage.

Notes

Ensure peanut butter is thick and sticky, avoiding varieties with added oils. If using whey protein, the bites contain dairy. For a vegan option, use plant-based protein powder and maple syrup. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
